De Bruyne Seals Napoli Deal Following Man City Departure

Kevin De Bruyne has finalized his transfer to Napoli following his departure from Manchester City as the Premier League season came to an end.
De Bruyne will team up with ex-Chelsea and Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, now the head coach of the Italian title holders.
By making his move to Italy as a free agent, De Bruyne turned down an offer from MLS team Chicago Fire. This transition now allows him to compete in the Champions League next season.
Napoli unveiled the signing of the 33-year-old through a computer-generated picture showing De Bruyne seated on a throne with a crown, labeled "King Kev has arrived."
After spending 10 years with Manchester City, where he claimed 19 significant titles since transferring from Wolfsburg in 2015, he departed the team.
Notably, De Bruyne assisted City in securing six Premier League championships, five League Cups, and two FA Cups – along with clinching their inaugural Champions League title in 2023, thus achieving the Treble as Pep Guardiola’s squad emerged as just the second English club to accomplish this milestone.
Before the conclusion of the season, his exit from City was made public, and De Bruyne emotionally said goodbye at Etihad Stadium after playing his last home league game against Bournemouth in May.
He made a short appearance for Fulham during City’s last match of the domestic season.
"It has been incredible to experience the 10 years I spent here with all that transpired. It truly was an amazing journey and a complete joy," De Bruyne stated regarding his departure from City.
It was wonderful putting in immense effort to contribute to creating something that brought the club the success we relished in. I'm extremely proud of my role in that achievement.
